Tap the Volunteer Power of Baby Boomers: A Forum for Volunteer Agencies
Monterey Public Library, in partnership with the City of Monterey, Monterey Bay Aquarium and California State Parks invite volunteer agencies to participate in a forum to discuss ways to engage members of the baby boom generation in volunteering, on Thursday, May 28, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
Participants from volunteer agencies will learn about the tremendous volunteer potential of baby boomers, discuss volunteer challenges and opportunities, brainstorm solutions, share best practices and build alliances with other agencies.
Baby boomers make up a third of our local community. The members of this powerful generation (1946-1964) are now between 44 and 63 years old, prime ages for volunteering. Is your agency ready to recruit and manage the next wave of volunteers?
Admission is free but pre-registration is required. Call 831.646.5602 or e-mail Labeaune@ci.monterey.ca.us. The Library is located at 625 Pacific Street, Monterey.
