Robert Louis Stevenson Annual "Unbirthday" Event
RLS scholar Dr. Roger Swearingen will speak about "The History of the Stevenson House in Monterey" at the library's annual RLS "Unbirthday" party on Wednesday, November 14, at 7 p.m.  Dr. Swearingen, author of The Prose Writings of Robert Louis Stevenson, has also published articles and reviews on Stevenson over the space of more than twenty-five years, and is currently working on a full-length biography of RLS.

The lecture will be followed by an "unbirthday" cake courtesy of the RLS Club of Monterey.  Ages 16-up are invited to attend.  Admission is free, but seating reservations are required.  Call 831.646.3949 or email Jeanne McCombs.
