Monterey Public Library Receives Grant from Target Stores

The Monterey Public Library has been awarded a $3,000 from Target stores to continue presenting once a month Saturday Storytimes for families with preschool age children. The programs will include stories, fingerplays and presentations by local musicians.  Target reading grants are awarded to schools, libraries and non profits to support programs that foster a love of reading and encourage young children to read together with their families.
