Library Director Kim Bui-Burton Elected President of California Library Association

The California Library Association (CLA) announced that Monterey Public Library Director Kim Bui-Burton has been elected to serve as its President for a one-year the term beginning November 2009.

CLA is a State-wide organization which provides leadership for the development, promotion and improvement of library services, librarianship and the library community. It provides resources for learning about new ideas and technologies in the library profession, and its members work to influence legislation affecting libraries and librarians.
