Library Will Close for Energy Efficient Lighting Upgrade and Exterior Painting
The Monterey Public Library will be closed from Friday, February 15
through Monday, February 18, for energy efficient lighting upgrades. The new
lighting installation will provide an annual energy savings of over 9,000
kilowatt hours and a cost savings amounting to thousands of dollars over the
life of the new fixtures.
During the closure, library materials may be returned in the curbside book drops
on Pacific Street. However, curbside parking may not be available at
times because exterior painting will be underway. Catalog access, renewals,
placing of holds, library card account information, access to most databases
and other online services will be continue to be accessible from the
library's Web site at www.monterey.org/library. The library will reopen on
Tuesday, February 19, at 10 a.m.
The Monterey Public Library is located at 625 Pacific Street. For
information call 646-3932 or visit www.monterey.org/library.
