Annual
"Bucks for Books"
Campaign Raises $18,300
The Library's annual "Bucks for Books" campaign raised $18,300 for the
purchase of books, DVDs, CDs and other collections, just slightly short of
its $20,000 goal.
The Library's collections budget was cut almost 30% over the past four years
and, in the current fiscal year, the Library has $55,000 less to spend on
collections. Last year, the Library checked out 426,994 items, a number
expected to increase in the current year.
The Library is grateful to the community for its generosity and will make use of
these funds by adding new materials to the collection very soon. For
