Medicare
on the Internet: a Live, Interactive Demonstration
Monterey Public Library presents a live, interactive demonstration on
how to use the Internet to get up-to-date information on Medicare by Bob Petty, Director
of Community Education for the Alliance on Aging, on
Monday December 10, from 2:30 until 4 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
While viewing Medicare's official Web site
www.Medicare.gov on a
big screen, you will learn how to: 1) Research and enroll in Medicare Part D
Drug Plans; 2) Find physicians who "participate in Medicare"; 3) Compare
ratings of nursing homes; 4) Get information about Medigap plans; 5) Compare
ratings of home health care agencies; and 6) Set up a private account so you
check your records, track bills and receive reminders of your
Medicare-covered preventive services.
Medicare beneficiaries, their family members and caregivers are invited to
attend. If you don't use computers, you may wish to bring a friend who
does. Admission is free. Seating is limited, so early arrival is
recommended.
The Library is located at 625 Pacific Street, Monterey. For more information
