Library Director Kim Bui-Burton Named Distinguished Alumna by Alma Mater Library Director Kim Ly Bui-Burton is among 40 librarians to be recognized by San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science as outstanding alumnus. The distinction will be given to SLIS graduates who have made significant contributions in a wide range of library and information settings, in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Bui-Burton is a published poet, community-wide collaborative programs innovator and pioneering Library Director. She will be honored in San Jose on November 29, at the University's "Forty for Forty" event, where the School of Library and Information Science will celebrate four consecutive decades of accreditation.
