Reference Service

Monterey Public Library offers reference, reader's advisory, and referral service to guide you to resources for all your information needs. Reference librarians are here to assist you every hour that the library is open - in person, on the telephone, and by e-mail.

In addition to answering your questions, reference staff can search for and deliver obituaries, help you find materials available from other libraries, assist you in using our databases, provide library tours and instruction sessions, and make reading recommendations.

If we are unable find an answer, we will refer you to somewhere that can. Get in touch with us for help finding the information you need, or get started on your own search with our helpful guides below.
