The Library can try to borrow books, videos, books-on-tape, and other items for you if they are not owned by Monterey Public Library or Pacific Grove Public Library.

  • Please check the catalog first to see if the library has the item you want.
     
  • To request an Interlibrary Loan, you will need a Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library card.
     
  • You may request new titles beginning July 1 of the year after they were published. If you would like the Library to consider purchasing a newer title, fill out the Recommend a Title form.
     
  • Effective May 1, 2008, there is a limit of 3 requests per seven-day week to ensure fair, equitable and timely service.
     
  • You can submit your request online one of two ways:
1 You look it up
Search the California Libraries Catalog and click on Request this title or the
ILL button Interlibrary Loan to request any title you find.
OR
2 We look it up
Click on the type of material you want to fill out an Interlibrary Loan request form:
Book Book
(non-English language)
Magazine/Journal Article Copy Microfilm
Newspapers
Video or DVD Sound Recording Genealogy,
Vital Statistics,
Etc.
Census Material
