Historic Monterey Newspapers on Microfilm Now Being Digitized

The Library’s holdings of Monterey newspapers on microfilm from 1846 – 1930 are currently being digitized and will be unavailable until approximately the end of April 2016.  The digitized newspapers will be stored on a cloud host server where they will be accessible online from anywhere with an Internet connection.  Searching will be faster, can be done by date, name, and event, and there will be adjustable tool for optimizing image quality for both text and photos.
