Library Accepting Proposals for Teen Art Exhibit

The Monterey Public Library is now accepting proposals for entries to a Summer Teen Art Show, open to young artists ages up to age 20. The show will be  exhibited on the Linda McCabe Memorial Teen Art Wall in the Library Teen Zone from June 1 through October 1, 2011.  

Entries should relate to this year's summer reading theme "You Are Here", and should feature a sense of place or self in landscape, portrait, or any genre of your choice. Recommended sizes are between 8" x 10" and 36" x 60", and works for consideration must have hanging wires attached. Proposals must include a completed application, which may be downloaded from the Library's Web site or picked up at the Library, and a photograph of the art work to be considered.  For complete details and an application form visit, or pick up a paper copy in the Library. Deadline for submitting proposals if May 15, 2011.
