The Friends of the Monterey Public Library and the Monterey Public Library Endowment Committee invite you to join Peter Hiller for a presentation on the range of Mora's work on Thursday, October 18, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. From hotel menu illustrations to museum collections, Hiller will celebrate the history of Monterey as it was interpreted by the ever-engaging, adopted native son, Jo Mora.  Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and wines at a reception and artisans' marketplace prior to Mr. Hiller's program, which begins at 6:15 p.m.  View and bid on original Jo Mora art.  Win door prizes of limited edition Jo Mora lithograph prints. 

Peter Hiller teaches art at All Saints' Day School in Carmel Valley and is Curator for the Jo Mora Trust Collection.  Two of Jo's' children's books will be available for purchase, and Hiller will sell and sign copies of his own books From Dust to Granite: The Yosemite Art and Writing of Jo Mora and "When I Get Wound Up Writing, I'm a Bad Article to Squelch: the Written Words of Jo Mora.
