Tweeters Have Nothing on Tellers

In the Winter 2014, volume of the Storytelling Association of California,  Craig Hackin’ ‘Boo Harrison writes about  Tellers Trumping Twitter, explaining  that 140-character micro-bloggers have nothing on storytellers , who are masters at “painting word pictures long enough to whet listeners’ imaginations, yet sparse enough audiences can fill in the fine strokes.”  He writes that the story goes that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to pen a six-word story.  His response:  “For sale:  Baby Shoes.  Never Worn.”  For more about what’s going on the world of California Storytelling, visit
