Purchase and Resale Inclusionary Housing Program

The City provides affordable ownership opportunities at a number of sites, through deed restricted, price controlled covenants. The Program provides for a small increase in value each year. It is an opportunity to gain all of the benefits of ownership, such as tax benefits, increased equity and freedom from renting. In order to qualify to purchase a home in the program a household must have a family member that works in the City of Monterey, or the household must live in the City. The income from all adults living in the household must be below the maximum for a Moderate Income Household ($77,800 for a household of 4).
