Affordable housing is a high priority in the City. Several Affordable Housing Programs were developed to try to produce more reasonably-priced housing units, for purchase and for rent, within the City limits. Programs include down-payment assistance, low- and moderate-income rentals as well as the Purchase and Resale Ownership Program. Certain houses and condominiums in various developments and complexes are placed under deed restrictions and priced below market rate. This provides more opportunities for home ownership.
