Scope and Objectives
The City of Monterey's Housing and Property Management Division develops and administers a variety of programs and policies that seek to:


 



Improve, preserve, and increase local affordable rental and ownership housing stock
Promote and sustain local economic and community development initiatives
Encourage and support neighborhood revitalization efforts
Support community services provided by local non-profit organizations

The primary focus of these programs is to enhance available housing opportunities and fulfill the community service needs of low, moderate, and workforce-income households, and other special-needs populations including disabled persons, senior citizens, and persons at risk of homelessness. Please refer to the Consolidated Plan Priorities for more information.
