Find Out About the Priorities in Your City
A to-do list of priority projects. That’s what we use to guide our work plan and budget process.
These priorities address immediate and future needs of the community while ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our neighborhoods and business districts.
Establishing a list of priorities is vital to the City planning process and even more important during these difficult economic times.
Each fall, as part of the City Focus, we let you know about the City Council priorities for the current fiscal year and provide some information about the status of ongoing projects.
One of our major focuses this past year has been to ensure a balanced budget during these challenging times. Because of cutbacks in staffing and reductions in services, it may take
a bit longer to complete some of our larger projects as well as some of our everyday tasks. And we appreciate your understanding as we strive to provide efficient, professional service to meet community needs.

Each edition of City Focus is mailed directly to all residents and businesses in the City of Monterey. If you would like a copy, please e-mail us with your request or call us at 831.646.3760.

Inside this issue, you’ll also find our annual community survey
(in PDF format). Please take five minutes to let us know how we are doing, and send it in by October 31. We appreciate hearing from you, anytime.

Thank you for participating. Together we can work to provide quality services that help make your City an even better place to live, work and visit.
