Hot, Hot, Hot! What's Up for Volunteers
Join us for the annual Fifth of July Beach Clean Up, from 9 a.m. to noon on
July 5. Bring your friends and family out to clean up Del Monte Beach and
enjoy free lunch afterwards. In a few hours, help restore a mess back to a
beautiful beach! Let Volunteer Services know you’ll be there.
- Be a Homework Pal and help
elementary school students master concepts and complete difficult homework
with success! An orientation and training will be held
Aug. 9. Call Homework Pals Coordinator Dina Stansbury at 646.5604 for more
details.
- Have you ever pulled weeds from
underwater? Marine Research Volunteers are “weeding” the Harbor of
an invasive species of kelp before it edges out our native plants.
Interested in marine science (or gardening!) and protecting our local
ecosystem? then volunteer.
