Ways to Care for Your Community
Keeping Monterey Bay clean and beautiful motivates many to care for our community.
Last fall nearly 50 volunteers from around the community gathered in New Monterey to clean storm drains and stencil “DO NOT DUMP – FLOWS TO BAY” scripts above them. Volunteers also worked to recycle pine needles and other plant materials.
Some 220 storm drains were cleaned and stenciled in one day alone from Cannery Row up to the Hilltop Park Center area.
