AT THE LIBRARY

Library to Reduce Hours of Operation this April
Monterey Public Library will reduce its hours of service in April due to budget cutbacks
at the City.
Several vacant staff positions will not be filled, leaving fewer employees to handle essential public service functions. Effective April 1, the Library’s hours of operation will be as follows:

  • Mon. to Weds. -  10 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Thurs. & Fri. - 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Get the Best Sellers Express
If you want a book, not a reservation, check out Express Best Sellers at your Monterey Public Library. Express Best Sellers is an affordable, new way to read hot new best sellers right now, since the Library can’t always buy enough copies to keep up with the demand for the most popular titles.
Now you can borrow books that everyone’s talking about for the small fee of $2 for one week. If you need a little more time to finish up, you pay only another $1 per day for additional days.
