Training Division

The training division is a critical element of the fire department. This division is responsible for the training, monitoring and certification of fire personnel. It is through proper training techniques that we strive to reduce injuries to our personnel and provide quality of service to our citizens. Member of the Monterey County Fire Training Officers Association

Types of Training

hirise3.jpg (101072 bytes)High-rise fires are tough fires that place extreme physical demands on fire personnel. The department conducts multi-agency drills with local departments as these types of fires require additional personnel.

Fire Fighters use stair wells when fighting fires in High-rise buildings.  Fire equipment is carried up to the fire floor to extinguish the fire.
