Ramsey Motors Fire located on Tyler Street March 27,1953 |

March 26, 1953 fire destroyed the Ramsey Motor Company
at 409 Tyler Street as a gasoline being drained into a bucket was touched off by a spark
causing the blaze. Approximately 18 cars were destroyed in the blaze at a cost of
over $50,000. Building loss was estimate at over $200,000. |
