1.
What is the Senior Taxi
Scrip Program?
- The goal of this program is to help
provide reliable and affordable transportation to Seniors within our
community.
- Seniors receive a 50% discount on taxi
fares within the cities of Monterey,
Seaside, Sand City, and Del Rey Oaks!
- The program was
established primarily to assist Monterey Seniors with economic need.
- Scrip availability is
limited.
2.
How does the Senior Taxi
Scrip Program work?
Participants simply purchase a $20 booklet
of taxi scrip (like coupons) from the City of
Monterey for $10. This
is a 50% discount!
Scrip can then be used like cash to pay
for cab fare with Yellow Cab Co. to travel anywhere within the cities of
Monterey, Seaside, Sand City and Del Rey Oaks.
These booklets of taxi scrip can be
purchased at the Senior Center, Casanova Oak Knoll Centers
and the Recreation Administration Office. See below: "Where do I go to
buy Taxi Scrip" for location addresses.
