PROJECTS FULLY FUNDED WITH BASE ALLOCATION

  1. CONA Playground Equipment
    Purchase and install playground equipment designed for small children.
     
  2. San Vito Circle Bus Shelter-Design Only
    Design several alternatives for a school bus shelter for children waiting for the school bus.
     
  3. Deer Flats Park Walkway Repair
    Sawcut, remove and replace concrete walkway that is cracked, broken or uplifted.
     
  4. Lower Presidio Walkway-New Monterey to Pacific Street
    A walkway will be constructed through the Lower Presidio from Private Bolio to Artillery Street.
     
  5. David Avenue ADA Sidewalk Improvements
    A curb and sidewalk bulb-out will be constructed around a tree planter that is encroaching onto the sidewalk.
     
  6. Hilltop Park Small Play Equipment Replacement
    Remove and upgrade the play equipment at the lower playground for the younger children.

 PROJECTS FUNDED BY THE POT AND PARTIAL BASE ALLOCATIONS

  1. Monte Vista School Playground Replacement
    Replace the existing playground equipment with new modern equipment for kindergarten and lower playground areas.
     
  2. Traffic Calming CONA Phase I
  • Construct 3 medians with landscaping and entrance signs.
  • Construct 4 curb extensions, and
  • Construct brick pavers on all crosswalks at the curb extensions.
  1. Traffic Calming Del Monte Grove/Laguna Grande Phase III
    Construct traffic circles, partial medians, curb extensions and decorative crosswalks for traffic calming per the approved plan.
     
  2. Filmore, Irving & Lyndon 700 Drainage
    Lyndon will have underground pipes installed in the edge ditches; Filmore will have a catch basin and associated piping installed at the end of Filmore by the Presidio.
     
  3. Robert’s Way Road Reinforcement
    Build a retaining wall to stabilize the hillside under Roberts Way.
     
  4. Ryan Ranch Animal Kennel
    Replace the current animal kennel with a new kennel, which will provide shelter from the elements and will have indoor/outdoor runs.
     
  5. Library Plexiglas Walls
    Construct see-through windscreen along the outside edge of the 2nd story patio. Chairs and tables will be added to the deck.
     
  6. Franklin/High Storm Drainage and Bulb-Outs
    Construct catch basins and storm drains with bulb-outs and new curb ramps. Minor storm drain improvements will also be constructed at Hellam and at Wainwright.
     
  7. Replace Monterey Sports Center Pool Deck
    Replace the slippery pool deck with a deck with texture for greater skid resistance.
     
  8. Via Del Rey Sidewalks
    An asphalt sidewalk and berm will be constructed for safer walking and storm water control from Via Del Pinar to Herrmann Drive.
     
  9. Forest Knoll & Forest Vale Storm Drains
    This project will construct catch basin, and associated piping to intercept the surface water flow on Forest Knoll before the water can turn down Forest Vale.
     
  10. Carmelo Park Storm Drains
    Construct a catch basin and piping to intercept water before it can flood out the lower portion of Carmelo Street.
     
  11. Roosevelt/High Curb Extensions
    Construct a bulb-out at Roosevelt Street at the uphill side of High Street. Catch basins and piping will need to be relocated.
     
  12. Cass/Hartnell Cross Gutter Construction
    Construct a cross gutter so water traveling down Cass Street can go straight past Hartnell Street.
     
  13. Dunecrest Avenue, Storm Run-Off Improvements
    Install AC swale or rock protection to slow run-off into dunes to prevent further erosion.
     
  14. State Theater Funding Feasibility Analysis
    Provides funding to evaluate all reports developed for this acquisition and operation and provide alternatives for possible funding.
     
  15. Traffic Calming CONA Phase II
    Construct a landscaped median with curb extensions and pavement treatment for a school crosswalk on Ramona near Lerwick.
     
  16. Ferrante Park Snack Bar Improvements
    Provides funding for "self help" program for painting, roof repairs and general "updating" of existing structure.
     
  17. Del Monte School, Replace Existing Turf Field
    Remove the existing grass and weeds, re-grade and install new turf and irrigation. This new sports field is needed particularly with the loss of Soldiers Field in the Presidio.
     
  18. Wave Street Sidewalk In Fill (curb, gutter, sidewalk & driveway approach)
    Concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveways will be constructed at Wave/McClellan to complete the improvements in this area.
     
  19. Veteran’s Park Play Equipment Replacement
    This project will remove and replace the existing play equipment with new equipment to meet current standards.
     
  20. Casa Verde Greening
    Plant 2 or 3 trees along the sidewalk for beautification.
     
  21. Repair Stone Gates at Colton/Alameda Street
    Repair the wood gates, hinges and hardware and restore the stone columns. Remove the overgrown ivy from the gates and stone columns.
     
  22. Bay View School Play Equipment Replacement
    Remove and replace aging and deteriorating play equipment.

CUT-OFF PROJECTS

  1. Harrison Street Pavement Treatment
    Install interlocking pavers on Harrison Street at the High Street (uphill) crosswalk and at the Bowen Street (downhill side) crosswalk to help reduce traffic speed for vehicles turning at the intersection at these two locations.
     
  2. Bruce Lane Curb
    Construct a standard curb and gutter along the south side of Bruce Lane adjacent to the residential properties so the street sweeper can keep that area clean.
     
  3. Dune Planting Along Tide Avenue
    Replant dune areas for erosion control and place wire barriers where necessary for pedestrian access control.
     
  4. Via Del Pinar Walking Path and Storm Drain Curb
    An asphalt walkway with berm will be constructed for safer walking and for drainage control.
     
  5. Hellam/Monroe Drainage Improvements
    Construct two catch basins and a cross gutter to underground the storm water coming down Hellam.
     
  6. Jacks Ball Park Sign at Franklin/Figueroa
    Provides for sign identifying park for drivers coming on Figueroa from Del Monte Avenue.
