| 1. Window-on-the-Bay/Monterey Bay
Waterfront Park: Develop funding strategy and Implementation Plan for all of
Window-on-the-Bay. Complete acquisition of certain properties west of Park Avenue by the
end of 2000. |
| 2. Develop Civic Center Implementation
Plan for new general office building and Public Safety needs to include design,
environmental review, and finance. |
| 3. Develop Sports Center expansion
construction drawings, finance plan, environmental review, and fund-raising plan. |
| 4. Expand participation in Department of Defense (DOD) demonstration
project for provision of City services on military installations. Increase lease and
leaseback arrangements at the Presidio of Monterey (POM) to gradually take over many of
the facilities previously operated by the Department of the Army to help insure the
retention of the military presence in Monterey and expanded City services such as child
care. |
| 5. Develop long-term funding plan for
the Waterfront Area Visitors Express (WAVE) shuttle and strategy for expanding service to
N. Fremont and Munras Ave. |
| 6. Complete Senior Center renovation. |
| 7. Initiate upgrade of Citywide Records
Management System. |
