    Construction will resume on Jefferson Street between High Street and Monroe Street in Monterey. Pipeline installation in Seaside will continue onto Hilby Street between Fremont Boulevard and Wheeler Street.

  • Highway 68/Highway 1 Roundabout (monterey.org/hh68)
    Day and Night Work: Starting Monday 5/22 at 6 a.m., the connection from Holman Highway 68 to Southbound Highway 1 and the Pebble Beach Highway 1 Gate will be fully closed for 24 hours until Tuesday 5/23 at 6 a.m. The same full closure of the connection from Holman Highway 68 to Southbound Highway 1 and the Pebble Beach Highway 1 Gate will happen again on Tuesday night 5/23 from 8 p.m. to Wednesday morning 5/24 at 6 a.m. During the closures there will be no access from Holman Highway 68 to the Pebble Beach Highway 1 Gate or Southbound Highway 1 ramp (going towards Carmel). There will be access for a right turn ONLY exit out of Pebble Beach onto Southbound Highway 1. During the closure, drivers coming from Pacific Grove, Community Hospital, and the Aguajito Road neighborhood who are going towards southbound Highway 1 will need to follow the signed detour and head north on Highway 1 to make a U-turn at Munras Avenue. Large trucks and busses are advised to U-turn at Aguajito Road.
    During the closures:
    Emergency vehicles will have full access at all times.
    The CHP will be onsite to assist with traffic control.
    No closures are currently planned after Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. Additionally, the left turn from the Pebble Beach Highway 1 Gate towards Holman Highway 68 will be reopened after Wednesday at 6 a.m.
